Updates:

8:16am – Georg and Gustav arrive at the airport and await Bill and Tom’s arrival in a private room. There are 250 fans outside their hotel, waiting and signing ‘World Behind my Wall.’
8:35am – About 600 fans at the hotel now, apparently it’s a huge mess there and everyone is screaming every time a car arrives.

8:35am – Environ 600 fans à l’hôtel maintenant, apparemment c’est le chaos là-bas et tout le monde crie à chaque fois qu’une voiture arrive.

It’s been three years today since Tokio Hotel had their show in Toronto at the Sound Academy, making their second time they’ve visited the city!

For photos, videos and news articles about the concert, check out this thread on our forum and share your stories with us there by leaving a reply. We’ll take a couple of the stories and photos, and post them here on the THCanada blog, so everyone can celebrate.

Mexico Recap

Pour ceux qui se demandent ce qui s’est passé hier au concert du Mexique, voici une explication de pwrpuffgrl sur th_apex. Ça vient avec une belle photo panoramique du lieu. =)

Tons of fans are asking what happened during the show and why it stopped.

During the 2nd verse of WBMW, Bill stopped singing and ran offstage, seconds later the rest of the guys stopped playing and did the same. Minutes later a guy said that if fans didn’t step back the show wouldn’t go on. Girls were being crushed and barriers were about to collapse. This happened for 10-15 minutes. The band got back with Hey You and didnt perform WBMW again. Bill apologized for the break but said it was for everyone’s safety..

Rest of the show went great, without any further problems but we did freak out a bit. Thankfully nobody got seriously injured as far as I know.

Bill said they went to the pyramids, climbed all the way to the top and had a ritual for positive energy. The guy who did the ritual told them “this was going to be their best night yet”. Hopefully there’ll be pics s–n, usually a newspaper covers the artist whenever they got o the pyramids.

Plusieurs fans demandent ce qui s’est passé hier pendant le concert, et la raison pour laquelle il s’est arrêté.

Pendant le deuxième couplet de WBMW, Bill s’est arrêté de chanter et a couru derrière la scène. Quelques secondes plus tard, les gars ont arrêté de jouer et ont fait de même. Quelques minutes après, une personne du staff a dit que si les fans ne se calmaient pas, ils ne continueraient pas. Les filles se fesaient pousser sur les barrières et elles allaient tomber. La pause a duré 10-15 minutes. Bill s’est excusé de la pause mais a dit que c’était pour la sécurité de tous.

Le reste du concert s’est bien passé, avec aucun autre problème de la sorte mais nous avons quand même eu peur. Heureusement, personne n’a été sérieusement blessé à ce que je saches.

Bill a dit qu’ils sont allés aux pyramides et les ont monté jusqu’en haut et qu’ils ont fait un rituel d’énergie positive. Le gars qui a fait le rituel leur a dit «”Ce sera votre meilleure nuit jusqu’à maintenant». Nous avons espoir qu’ils y aura des photos, habituellement, un journal met en couverture les artistes quand ils vont aux pyramides.

Monterrey Show – Cancelled

Tokio Hotel’s official Mexican website has announced that the Monterry show will be cancelled because of security reasons and tickets will be refunded. Here’s a google translation of what was posted on the site:

According to this article from fmbox in Chile, Tokio Hotel concerts will be played in the “Movieland” Theatres along with Depeche Mode. More on this as it arises, but this would be a good opportunity to see the band if you can’t make it to the concert!

Here is some more information about the Tokyo Showcase. It looks like some Japanese fans will have a chance to win tickets to the showcase! As far as travelling to Japan goes, we know that at previous showcases (Nokia, etc) fans have been let in at the door last minute. If you do decide to make the trip there, please realize that it is at your own risk; you may not get a chance to actually get into the showcase. So, if you want to travel to Japan, do so at your own descretion!

It’s official! Tokio Hotel is going to Tokyo, Japan!

Universal Japan confirmed this today! The band will play a showcase in Tokyo on December 15th. The show will be an exclusive event, only open to VIP, label representatives and media. However, there will be a contest in the future for a few lucky Japanese fans to get tickets!

Since this will probably be in a small venue, I’m wondering if they might play an acoustic set. What do you think?

This brings the boys closer to their dream of playing a big concert in Tokyo, Japan! Yaay! Let’s party!
