Here’s some more information about the Much Music Video Awards and Tokio Hotel’s nomination. Thanks to sitchesandlace from Livejournal for putting this post together. <3
It’s still unconfirmed whether or not the boys will be there, but even if they can’t make it we want to see them win, right? There is no voting for this category (yet) BUT you can support TH and get them up there in two ways:
-Twitter anything about TH to @MuchMusic as often as you can, but remember not to spam!
-Watch Automatic on the MuchMusic website HERE until your computer crashes.
Maybe we could get a trending topic going too? How about #TokioHotelMMVAs ?
We showed we still have it with the Comets, now let’s give TH their first Canadian award! It’s not quite as big as the MTV Video Awards but it’s still a pretty big deal!
If you’re in the Toronto area and want to get in on the MMVA action, the wristband giveaway starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 12 at MuchMusic. You have to be over 14 and it’s only one per person, and please bring a non-perishable food item! The lineup is LONG and a lot of people camp out several nights in advance, so be sure to get there early! Different coloured wristbands are for different stages, there should be announcements of who’s playing which stage in advance. Confirmed performers so far are Adam Lambert, Ke$ha, Down With Webster, Mariana’s Trench, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry.
More announcements to come in the next few weeks!
If you’re not lucky enough to snag a wristband, everyone is welcome to watch from the street and see the red carpet!
The show is Sunday June 20th at 9pm ET/6pm PT, so mark your calendars. We’ve marked ours.
